RxSight Introduces: The Light Adjustable Lens

Light Adjustable Lens (LAL)

What is the Light Adjustable Lens?

As the name suggests, the Light Adustable Lens (LAL) is the first and only intraocular lens (IOL) you can customize after cataract surgery. It’s adjustable through the use of ultraviolet light treatments.

The LAL is the only IOL that enables you and your doctor to design, trial, and customize your vision after catract surgery. Adjustability takes cataract surgery to the next level by giving you a lens that is customized specifically to your eyes!

Light Treatments – How do They Work?

To receive the light treatment, you will be placed in front of the Light Delivery Device, which will non-invasively deliver the UV light to your new LALs. Each treatment lasts about 90 seconds, and the total number of light treatments is based on the achievement of you and your doctor’s desired outcome (typically 2-4 treatments). For the first time ever, you can have confidence that your result will be just how you want to see the world!
