During the current COVID-19 crisis, West Virginia Eye Consultants wants to meet the eyecare needs of our patients and our community. We are available for urgent and emergent issues. If you find yourself having an eye health emergency or if you are having visual issues, please call and we will see you in our Charleston office: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm by appointment only. We are adhering to the current social distancing and group gathering guidelines for your safety and ours.
Have you lost or broken your glasses?
Our Charleston Optical Shop will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm for glasses adjustments, repairs, reorders or dispensing’s by appointment only. We will assist one patient in our Optical Shop at a time for your safety and to adhere to the current guidelines.
Are you out of your contact lenses?
You can call 304-341-1101 to order your contact lenses Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. If our contact lens technician is currently helping another patient, please leave a message and they will call you back as soon as possible. Your order can be shipped directly to your home for your convenience and safety at no charge.
With the current restrictions for urgent and emergent care only recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Optometric Association, if your glasses have been lost or broken, or if you are out of contact lenses, our physicians will review your records and determine the need to complete your order by extending the prescription on a case by case basis.
Although we are not operating our practice as we normally would, we are making every effort to follow the most up-to-date guidelines to keep our patients, staff, and doctors safe, while providing the necessary services to our patients. When you arrive in our parking lot for your appointment please stay in your car and you can either CALL or TEXT 304-343-3937 to let us know that you have arrived. We will check you in from your vehicle and will let you know when you are ready to be seen. You will not be expected to sit in our waiting room.
If you are currently sick and are displaying symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath, fever or runny nose, please reschedule your appointment and we will gladly see you when you are well and feeling better.
Our office will be Pre-Screening ALL Patients during appointment scheduling and appointment reminders. This includes questions concerning if you currently have any symptoms, have been exposed to COVID-19 or have traveled out of the country or to a state where COVID-19 is prevalent.
