Dr. Matthew D. Thompson is a cataract surgeon trained in the latest technology of small-incision cataract surgery. He completed medical school at Marshall University and surgical Ophthalmology training at the Cincinnati Eye Institute where he was named Chief Resident in 2020. Dr. Thompson is a native of the beautiful Mountain State, born and raised in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Dr. Thompson is a husband and father and enjoys spending time with his family hiking, fishing, kayaking, watching college football and traveling.
